How can I become a member of Global Travel Gems?
Global Travel Gems is a NOT membership-based service. We are a company that provides travel services. Anyone who loves to travel and make it a priority to travel is a “GT Gem”. However, you can join our facebook group to connect with other travelers and stay on top of new GT Gems trips and news. ( make “join our facebook group” as a hyperlink that will take the person directly to the group.
Who are Global Travel Gems?
Global Travel Gems is a full-service online travel company that makes travel arrangements for individuals and groups. Global Travel Gems is owned by Global Travel Gems, LLC.
What payments do you accept?
For group events, we accept online payments. We accept Visa, Mastercard, and Discover. For individual reservations (private reservations), we accept credit card authorization forms and credit cards over the phone with a 3.5% fee.
Do you provide refunds?
No, we do not provide refunds nor do we transfer money. Each client is required to accept our Terms and Conditions before a reservation is accepted. To protect your investment, each and every client is encouraged to purchase travel insurance.
Do I have to make a payment every month?
You should make every effort to make a payment every month. If you find yourself not being able to make a payment, please send us an email. If you fail to make a payment for 60 days without any communication with us, your reservations will automatically cancel. ( make “send us an email” a hyperlink to the hello email address we set up)
What happens if I make my payment and my roommate does not?
You will be responsible for finding a new roommate or you must pay the additional cost for the room occupancy change.
Can I make reservations on an event once payments have begun?
Yes, you can make reservations for any event at any time as long as the reservations are still open. You will need to make the first deposit and then every month make monthly payments.
What happens after I make my reservations?
Once you make your reservation, you will receive an account summary. Your account summary will list your monthly payment plan. This is set up by default to charge your credit card every month, or you can choose to turn off the automatic monthly billing option.
After I make my first reservation, how do I make monthly payments?
You can make monthly payments in several ways. Visit our website home page, www.globaltravelgem.com and click the trip link and head to the wetravel website.
Do you provide roommate matching?
Yes, we can arrange for roommate matching on select travel packages. Each travel event will list if roommate matching is available.
What happens if my roommate drops out or cancel their reservations?
If your roommate cancels their reservations, your account will be adjusted to the package price according to the new occupancy in your room.
When will I receive my itinerary?
Itineraries are sent to each client 30 days before the event via email.
Are GT Gems just for women?
No. GT Gems cater to anyone looking to travel. Our ideal clients tend to be the professional man or women that would like to step away from their day-to-day reality and see the world.
Why should I book with you instead of an online booking site, or direct with a resort?
With us, you get exceptional personal assistance before, during, and after your vacation.
Budget is important and we strive to get your dream vacation within the budget you’ve set for it. There’s no pressure to go above and beyond what you’re comfortable with. You can’t enjoy your vacation when you’re stressed out about paying for it.
We provide honest advice about all resorts and destinations to help you choose the perfect resort for you.
You also benefit from our extensive personal connections which carry a certain gravitas when needing anything addressed. We have an easier time getting you perks (like getting your room upgraded)—it’s easier for us to get a “yes” because we work with them often.
What important information should I have thought through before contacting you out?
Ideally, you should set a budget and share it with us, so that we can give you a realistic, fun, and memorable itinerary for a price you are comfortable with.
Do I have to pay you up front for my vacation?
No! The deposit requirements are set by the resorts and the tour operators we book through. Deposit rates vary based on the resort or package you select, and the time you are traveling.
The deposit is made via Global Travel Gems, LLC. directly with the resort or tour operator. At no time does Global Travel Gems, LLC ever charge your credit card without your authorization. . This way, you are assured that your deposit is applied directly to your vacation at the time of booking.
Most vacation packages require that you pay the balance 45 days prior to your arrival. Again, that payment is made directly to the supplier.
